Louis's Home Gardens 2007 (1 of 14)

Louis's Home Gardens 2007 (1 of 14): A designer's own garden is the project of a lifetime, literally. Never truly complete, itís the ultimate laboratory, playground, and sanctuary to explore thousands of horticultural and hardscape possibilities before bringing them to clients. See the features in Design New England on Louis's gardens, in the "Louis in the Media" Press page. The large variegated leaves of the clerodendron bush are riveting. Clerodendron trichotomum 'Harlequin' just misses being hardy in Rhode Island, though, so is growing in a large pot, sunk into this mixed border for the Summer, and in Winter stored dormant, still in that same pot, in the basement.
